Terms of Service

Effective date: June 15, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of affiBox PlayCam (the “Service”), operated by affiBox (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Puerto Rico, United States. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

PlayCam lets you publish a live video stream from a phone or encoder to our relay, which can restream it to third-party platforms you connect (such as Facebook and YouTube), record a master copy to your account, capture score and event metadata, and generate clips, highlights, and other derived media from your streams and recordings.

2. Your account & eligibility

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and operate a broadcast. The Service is not directed to children, and minors may not create accounts. Minors may appear in content only under the conditions in Section 4.

3. Your content & the rights you grant us

You retain all ownership of the video, audio, score data, images, and other content you stream, upload, or generate through the Service (“Your Content”). To operate and improve the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transmit, encode, record, reproduce, create derivative works from (such as clips, highlights, reels, and thumbnails), and deliver Your Content to the destinations you choose, and to use Your Content as described in Section 5. This license exists only to run and develop the Service and ends when you delete the relevant content, except for residual copies retained for a limited period or as required by law, and except for content you have made public or shared with third-party platforms.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and for having all rights, licenses, consents, releases, and permissions necessary to stream, record, and distribute it — including any music, footage, logos, trademarks, names, voices, or likenesses it contains.

4. Consent, releases & minors — your responsibility

This is the most important obligation in these Terms. You — not affiBox — are responsible for the people who appear in what you broadcast.

By streaming or uploading content through the Service, you represent and warrant that:

You have obtained all consents and releases required by law from every identifiable person who appears or can be heard in Your Content, for the recording, live streaming, public display, and distribution of their image and voice through the Service and any platforms you connect.
Where Your Content includes minors, you have obtained verifiable, informed consent from each minor’s parent or legal guardian before recording or streaming, and you comply with all applicable child-protection, privacy, and likeness laws.
You comply with the rules of the venue, league, federation, school, or organization where you record, and with all applicable recording, wiretap, and publicity laws in your jurisdiction (including Puerto Rico).
You will use available privacy controls appropriately — including keeping content involving minors private or unlisted where consent for public distribution has not been given.

We do not verify consents or releases and are not responsible for obtaining them. If you cannot make these representations for a given broadcast, do not stream it.

5. Automated processing, AI & product improvement

The Service uses automated systems, including machine-learning and AI, to operate and improve. You agree that we may process Your Content and the metadata you generate (such as the live score and event timeline) to: provide the Service; automatically detect moments and generate clips, highlights, reels, captions, and other derived media; surface those to you and, where you have made content public or shared it, to viewers; analyze usage; maintain safety and security; and develop, train, and improve our features and models. We may contact you about content we have created for you and about features available on paid plans. Where we use Your Content to develop or improve the Service, we work to do so in a manner consistent with our Privacy Policy.

6. Connected platforms

When you connect a third-party account (e.g., Facebook, YouTube), your use of that platform remains subject to that platform’s own terms and policies. You authorize PlayCam to create and manage live broadcasts on your behalf on those platforms. We are not responsible for the availability, behavior, policies, or actions of third-party platforms, including any removal, restriction, or monetization of your broadcasts.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to stream, upload, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative (including any sexualized depiction of minors), defamatory, or that violates the rights of others or the rules of any connected platform. You may not record or broadcast individuals without the consents required by Section 4. You may not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ data. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

8. Your representations & warranties

You represent and warrant that: (a) all information you provide is accurate; (b) you have all rights and consents described in Sections 3 and 4; (c) Your Content and your use of the Service comply with all applicable laws and with the terms of any connected platform; and (d) you will not use the Service in any way that creates liability for us or harms others.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless affiBox and its owners, operators, employees, and contractors from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) Your Content; (b) your streaming, recording, or distribution of any person’s image or voice, including any failure to obtain required consents or releases or any claim brought by or on behalf of a minor or their guardian; (c) your violation of these Terms or any law; (d) your violation of any third-party right, including privacy, publicity, or intellectual-property rights; and (e) your use of any connected platform. We may assume the exclusive defense of any matter subject to indemnification, and you will cooperate with us.

10. Plans & payment

The Service offers free and paid plans. Paid features, pricing, storage limits, and billing terms are presented at the point of purchase and are processed by our payment provider. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change plans, features, and pricing on reasonable notice.

11. Service availability

We work to keep the Service reliable but provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that streams, recordings, third-party deliveries, or generated media will be uninterrupted, complete, retained for any particular period, or error-free. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of content you wish to preserve.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, affiBox and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or US$100.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service, other users, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; data handling follows our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 3 (license, as to already-distributed content), 8, 9, 12, 13, and 16 — survive.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Puerto Rico for any dispute not subject to other agreement.
